We kick off a new worship series this Sunday entitled "Discovering Disciples." This series will explore the history of our denomination, as well as how our historic values and theological traditions give us a unique position to respond to modern-day culture and issues.

We'll explore the themes of courage, unity, wisdom, hospitality, and inclusion both from the American frontier of the 1800s and how they continue to influence and shape our ministry almost 225 years later. Watch the Friday email for more details on this first Sunday. Rev. Shanna will have resources available in that email and again on Sunday morning!

And mark your calendars for the last Sunday of July when we'll have the baptisms of four of our youth. It's going to be a great month of worship together in Community,

and we look forward to sharing it together.

The Micah Ministry is the urban outreach mission of Independence Boulevard Christian Church to the unhoused and food insecure people in the historic Northeast area of Kansas City, Missouri. From 5:30p-7:00p every Monday, Micah offers a warm meal, hygiene products, clothing, additional food items to support our house-less neighbors. Help is needed all day to prepare for the evening meal, so earlier times to serve are available as well. We invite all ability levels are welcome. Micah is currently serving over 1000 meals each Monday evening.

The Food Pantry is open four days a month, on Tuesdays and Thursdays 9 - 11 a.m.
