Dear ERDI Members,
As we navigate the challenges presented by COVID-19 and the changes that are taking place each day in response, we are eager to support the ERDI Community. We thank each of you for your leadership and generosity during this time and aim to contribute by connecting thought partners, sharing messages and insights, and serving as a conduit for information sharing. Please call upon us. We're ready and willing to help in any way we can.

With much gratitude,
Dr. Joseph Wise & Dr. Jennifer Ferrari
#ImpactEd Chat
Reflecting in Real Time about Remote Learning: Converting Little Wins into Big Wins for the 20-21 School Year
Here's what we learned...
  • Optimism, hope, and care for others drive our work
  • Equity is essential
  • Agility & Teamwork are a powerful combination
  • Self-care is very important, and we must support one another in ensuring we take care of ourselves
  • As we continue to evolve in our remote learning models, we must prioritize meaningful student engagement (Remote Learning 2.0)
  • We have much to gain and learn from one another. #BetterTogether
  • We have lots of lessons to build on for the future
  • All families should have universal access to the internet
  • We need to find joy, humor, and even fun, in spite of the circumstances
  • If we approach this crisis as an opportunity, so much good can come from bad

Listen to the recorded webinar that CareMonkey hosted with 5 NYC school leaders to learn how they transitioned to virtual learning environments overnight and how they supported staff, students and parents.
In the coming months, strong leadership practices will be even more critical for your organization. A great leader can help employees connect to the purpose of their work and give them the confidence to manage through uncertainty and change. This can be the difference between success and failure in critical times. Studer Education put together a  collection of leadership tools and resource   curated by their expert leaders who have faced crisis before. These resources will be updated as we collectively define what the “best place to work” looks like in our new normal.
Women in education are encouraged to join We LEAD Wednesdays with Lillie Cox from 8:00-8:30PM (ET) for a free and fun opportunity to connect during these challenging times. Different topics will be introduced to bring women together to socialize and check in on each other. This Wednesday's session is titled "Silver Lining"

Looking Ahead
ERDI I/II/III/IV Summer Institutes
Assuming we'll see the other side of things by July and be more than ready to spend time together, we plan to convene all of our cohorts this summer, July 11-18, 2020 in Baltimore, Maryland. We'll continue to monitor the circumstances carefully.

We're adapting! The combined ERDI III/IV Institute will be held adjacent to our scheduled ERDI I/II institutes. The Summer Institute schedule creates new possibilities for collaboration between cohorts and provides solution providers with a unique opportunity to take advantage of multiple perspectives during the same week.
ERDI Education Leaders will receive
updated RSVPs and logistics information this week.
