BOARD OF TRUSTEES SUPPORTS STUDENTS WITH NO TUITION AND FEES INCREASE
CLC's Board of Trustees approved the recommendation to maintain current tuition rates and comprehensive fees for students in the 2021-2022 academic year. Students will pay the same tuition and fees as they do during the current academic year. It has been eight years since tuition rates went unchanged.

Additionally, the Board approved recommendations to keep course fees for variable classes, including nursing, dental hygiene, massage therapy and theatre, unchanged. These recommendations affirm the college's commitment to affordability for students as outlined in the strategic plan.
METALLICA HELPS CHANGE THE LIFE OF 80+ LAKE COUNTY RESIDENTS
Yes, that Metallica. Through the heavy metal band’s All Within My Hands Foundation, CLC received a second round of funding for the Metallica Scholars Initiative (MSI).

Among the 86 total recipients is U.S. Navy veteran Angel Rosales of Beach Park. After 20 years of service, he was inspired by his two sons graduating college and even going for master's degrees. However, he was concerned about adding to the family's college debt. Fortunately, MSI stepped in to help him pursue computer-aided-design (CAD).

1,200 BUSINESSES GET MORE THAN $16.5M IN ASSISTANCE FROM COUNTY PROGRAM
The Lake County Small Business Assistance Grant Program funded by the CARES Act, helped local businesses cover up to four months of occupancy costs, including rent, mortgage and utilities.

When the application window opened for only two weeks in July, the Small Business Development & International Trade Center at CLC stepped up to help business owners navigate and complete the application process.
