If you would like to reserve a spot and commit to the $600 fee, please click here to fill out the commitment form. A minimum of 100 confirmed participants is needed by 6:30pm today (November 6) for this to happen. Registration will follow, once we hit the minimum number of required participants.

On Saturday, Mount Zion held a Shabbat for Well-being organized by Rachel Stock Spilker with great support from Abby Gore was just what many needed. We had many guests for Torah Study and Shabbat services and Shabbat lunch. Here Julie Dean leads all through a guided meditation to lift up compassion for ourselves and each other before we listened to a partner share in dyads. Pola Rest led chair yoga and Cantor Spilker led a text study and creative response (through art or writing or reflecting) session.

Such joy to hear these kids sing this morning for Camp Fun morning and URJ Olin-Sang-Ruby Union Institute OSRUI presentation. We have a record percentage of our school going to OSRUI!

Tzedek Committee Winter Coat Drive

With the recent large influx of immigrants who have been arriving from the southern border, there is an urgent need to provide them with winter coats. The Tzedek Committee is sponsoring a coat drive in conjunction with the resettlement agency, the International Institute. We are collecting men's, women's and children's (thick) winter jackets (gently used and clean) for these new arrivals. We are also seeking hats and gloves in new condition. Please leave any items you are donating in the Tzedek box outside of the Religious School’s office at the Temple. Thank you for your assistance in this time of dire need. Questions? Contact Mark Joffe (marksjoffe@gmail.com) or Diana Dean (dianamdean@msn.com).

In the Community

- Jewish teens (grades 8-12) and parents from across the community are invited to find hope, strength, learning, and support in navigating the complex and sensitive situation in Israel. JCRC and its partners present Israel at War: A community summit for teens and their parents on Sunday, November 12, 3:30 - 6:30 pm. Register.

- Jewish Family Services (JFS) will offer the B’Yachad Gift Bag program again this year. Help them reach their goal to deliver over 200 gift bags including a gift card for home essentials and groceries to clients in need this year. B’Yachad builds community through collaborative agency partnerships across organizations and generations, demonstrating our Jewish values by promoting the spiritual health and wellness of those we serve.
