New Summer Webinar Series from ACTE
CTE stakeholders across the country are considering what education might look like during the 2020–21 school year. Whether schools and postsecondary institutions will be able to open fully for the next school year using social distancing methods, utilize a blended approach or remain online, there are significant implications for CTE programs, students and educators. This series of webinars, which began on June 9, is designed around the elements of the ACTE’s Quality CTE Program of Study Framework and will identify emerging best practices that should shape future planning.
Colorado ACTE Expands CTE Learn COVID19 Support
Recognizing the dramatic impact of COVID19 on instructional efforts, we’ve been getting requests to develop a broader offering of courses to engage CTE teachers and staff in a wider range of professional development activities while they are working remotely.

In response to this need, Colorado ACTE is pleased to offer CTE professionals and institutions 50% off from June 1st to July 31st on any Colorado CTE Learn course and subscription key purchases (150+ online courses).

Simply use VIP Code CTE50 to make your purchase on  https://co.ctelearn.org.  Purchased keys can be used anytime within one year of purchase.

There is a session to learn more about Colorado CTE LEARN during the VIRTUAL SUMMIT!

ADVOCATE
There are lots of ways to ADVOCATE for CTE and Colorado ACTE! You don't always have to be in downtown Denver or in Washington, DC. What can YOU do in your community to spread the word about how CTE is "Working Wonders"?
CACTE's Legislative Specialist Team is hard at work during the frantic return to work by the CO Legislature.

Interested in what's happening downtown that relates to education? Please see the CACTE website for a complete update from our Strategies 360 Team - click the button below. If you want the 6-7-2020 document in Word so the links work, please email cacte@cacte.org ;-)
LEAD
Colorado CTE is very excited to announce that TWO of the FOUR Colorado students who were selected as Presidential Scholars were FBLA State Officers this year!
On top of that, Melanie Zhou is one of only 20 CTE Presidential Scholars from the entire United States. Yay CTSO students!
The CACTE Board voted to suspend the clause in the Bylaws {Art VI, Sec 3(A)} requiring a hybrid method of voting (online and in-person at the Summit) for the 2020 Officer election only.

Voting will be completely online and will be open July 6-20. Be sure to have your member ID handy when you get ready to vote.

Watch the website and the July Connecting w CACTE e-newsletter for details about our officer candidates for president-elect and treasurer.
