Cross-divisional teaching and learning are important parts of the Cathedral tradition, as was beautifully demonstrated when 8th graders told stories in Spanish to the 1st graders last month. The 8th graders wrote and illustrated their own versions of
Caperucita roja
(
Little Red Riding Hood
),
Los tres cerditos
(
The Three Little Pigs
), and
Ricitas de oro y los tres osos
(
Goldilocks and the Three Bears
). They invited the 1st graders to ask questions about the project and what it is like to be an Upper School Spanish student. This interaction provides 8th graders an opportunity for mentorship while fostering close ties across the school.
