"All is Bright! A Concordia Christmas"
COVID has brought a number of changes to the way we celebrate with our Concordia family, and Concordia Christmas is one such event! We have a unique opportunity to share the good news with the Southern California communities of Orange, Los Angeles, San Diego, San Bernardino, Riverside and Ventura Counties by airing "All is Bright! A Concordia Christmas" on PBS SoCal on December 22, 24 and 25. Join us in celebrating the light which is the birth of our Savior.
National Lutheran Schools Week 2021
National Lutheran Schools Week (NLSW) is January 24-30, 2021. This year’s theme is Sent to Serve based on Matthew 20:28, “The Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.” There are several materials available to your schools by download. Please see the NLSW page on the LCMS website for more information:

Please share this information with anyone at your school or church who will be preparing Commissioned Call Documents in the future. The sign-in and password remain unchanged. Contact Ellen Pratt if you have any questions at or 949-854-3232 ext. 224.
Prayer Requests
  • For a blessed Christmas to you, your family, your school, and your students. We pray that the message of Jesus' birth and the hope we receive from His grace is the reason for the season!
  • For Ben Kovacs, an 8th grade student at St. Paul's, Orange, CA. Ben recently was hospitalized and had surgery as a result of fluid on his brain. The surgery was successful and we pray for a return home before Christmas and a full recovery for Ben. Please join us in praying for Ben, his family, the doctors and nurses caring for him, and his St. Paul's family.

Each week, prayers of thanksgiving and prayers for teachers, administrators, support staff, pastors, students, and families of the Lutheran schools, early childhood centers, and churches of the Pacific Southwest District are listed. To include names on the list, please send information to by noon on Tuesday of each week.
