CCPs to Projects

Through the MDS CCPs to Projects program Church Contact Persons (CCPs) can learn more about what MDS service is like through a five-day, hands-on experience at an MDS project site—making it easier for you to share about MDS with others! And it’s free! The CCPs to Projects program will reimburse your travel expenses to projects where there are overnight accommodations. To apply, e-mail volunteer@mds.org or call 800-241-8111 ext. #1.

Your church can remember disaster survivors and recovery efforts in a worship setting. Please feel free to pass along the worship resource below to your worship coordinator(s).

Prayer for those experiencing disasters

God, disasters are all around us. Although not new, it seems there are more, wildfires, hurricanes, tornadoes, and floods.

Breathe the breath of your loving Spirit

Into the lives of those who have lost loved ones,

Into the lives of those returning to homes that are destroyed or damaged,

Into the lives of those whose livelihoods have been destroyed.

Breathe the breath of your loving Spirit and fill them with your love, your hope, your life. Amen.
