Bastrop County Cares achieves our mission through a variety of community partnerships and coalitions that bring together individuals and public, private, faith-based, and nonprofit organizations and institutions committed to creating the best Bastrop County.

Public Meeting on High Speed Internet

July 11 - The Texas Broadband Development Office is holding a meeting here in Bastrop County to discuss broadband and hear from YOU.

You are invited to attend this Public Meeting on High Speed Internet. The purpose is to hear from local leaders and community members about their perspectives on high speed internet.

The first meeting in the region will be on July 11^th from 5:00-7:00 PM in Bastrop, Texas. We will be meeting at the American Legion Post 533.

Bastrop County Care-A-Van Popup Event

July 14 - We're excited for our Bastrop County Care-A-Van to have a popup event on July 14 from 10-12 at the Bastrop First United Methodist Church. We'll see ya there for fun sports and wellness activities!

Bastrop County Volunteer Fair

August 11 - We connect volunteers and organizations so they can make a bigger impact. Non-profit organizations can meet with a talented pool of volunteers AND attend continuing education workshops to share best practices for volunteer recruitment and tools to manage your volunteer program.

Fatherhood Event: Grilling and Chilling

August 19 - This is a free event, hosted by the Early Childhood Coalition, to raise awareness and to assist the many children in Bastrop County who have everyday struggles with stress, food insecurity, and lack of access to resources.

Gymnastics Camp Held in Shiloh

BCC Well-Being Program Manager Grace Georges hosted a youth gymnastics camp at The Lone Star Missionary Baptist Church, located in the Shiloh Community. Participants ranged from age 5 - 16 years old. The camp was from June 12th - 15th from 10 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
