Dear Beloved Community,

I hope that you were able to join us for worship last Sunday. Chase Montara shared a wonderful testimony that involved some very moving stories about God's work in the world. And I learned what a wonderful singing voice she has as well! Please take a look on Facebook or Youtube if you missed it.

This coming Sunday, we will finish our series on spiritual testimonies. I am privileged to get the opportunity to share some of my story with you all. For me, the vision of the earliest Christian community in Acts sharing their possessions in common has always been deeply compelling, even as I also find the idea of giving up that kind of control and autonomy quite scary. There's something about one of the very first responses to the life of Jesus — a witness to the resurrection — being profound economic solidarity and radical community that I just can't stop wondering about.

I hope you'll join us this Sunday for worship either at 9am on the lawn or at 10:30am online so that we can explore this together. I am so blessed by the ways that we are community together and pray that the spirit might draw us ever closer in the days and weeks to come.

Know you are deeply loved and matter to God, to the world, and to this church!

Peace now and always,

Sheryl
