AMAC & MBDA Manhattan Present: Airport Opportunities for
Diverse Companies
Register to join AMAC and the U.S. Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA) Manhattan Center on March 10, 2022, from 3:00 pm–5:00 pm ET to learn about opportunities for small and diverse companies within the airport ecosystem. The U.S. Department of Transportation's Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) will award $2.89 billion through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law to 3,075 airports around the nation. The money can be invested in runways, taxiways, safety and sustainability, terminal, airport-transit connections and roadway projects. MBDA Manhattan Center programs, services and initiatives help minority business enterprises grow today while preparing them to meet tomorrow's industry needs. Industry operators in the construction, concession and administration of our nation's airports will learn how to connect to these critical opportunities. AMAC Foundation Board Director Sean Fitzgerald is Re-Appointed to the St. Louis Airport Commission for Another Term
The Saint Louis County Executive, Same Page, re-appointed Sean Fitzgerald, Director, AMAC Foundation Board of Directors, and Vice President, Property, Construction and Environmental, Enterprise Holdings to the St. Louis Airport Commission for another term. The City of St. Louis owns and operates St. Louis Lambert International Airport. The St. Louis Airport Authority is the city department that manages the daily operations. The St. Louis Airport Authority was created in 1968 by an ordinance adopted by the St. Louis Board of Aldermen. The Airport Authority comprises the Airport Commission, the Airport Director and more than 500 full-time employees.

U.S. Travelers Will Require Authorization Traveling to Europe Starting in 2023

American travelers – from next year (2023) – will be required to register before traveling to more than half of the nations in Europe. Citizens of the U.S. – along with travelers from around 60 other countries – will need to register their details on the European Travel Information and Authorisation System.

Application Process Opens for Bipartisan Infrastructure Law Funds to Build Safe, Sustainable and Accessible Airport Terminals

The FAA opened applications for airports to submit projects for the first $1 billion of the Airport Terminal Program funded by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law. The grant will fund safe, sustainable and accessible airport terminals, on-airport rail access projects and airport-owned airport traffic control towers, plus multimodal development. Apply by March 28, 2022.
