Youth/Caring For Friends - Thank You!
At the youths' Elevation meeting on Sunday, March 30, we had a Caring For Friends meal-pack. After explaining the importance of the Caring For Friends organization and the impact it has on the food insecure, elderly, and disabled, the youth and adult helpers gathered around 3 tables to pack chicken nuggets, frozen corn, and applesauce. They packed 179 meals, filling up the Caring For Friends freezer.
Their generosity and enthusiasm were greatly appreciated.
Thank you to all of the adults who were there to help and also those who provided food. This event could not have been a success without your contribution. Also, thank you to Lenae for sharing the Caring For Friends mission with the youth.
We look forward to partnering with them again in the future.
Best,
Cindy

DUMC VOLUNTEER SURVEY
Dear DUMC Family,
We recognize that many members of our congregation are involved in volunteer opportunities outside of the church and would like to learn more. We think that there are members in our church who are looking for opportunities and perhaps...
· you volunteer for an organization that would interest other members of the congregation if they knew about it
· the organization you volunteer for has a need that a group from DUMC could help with
· the work you do will inspire others to discern the call of God to transform the world with the compassion of Christ through risk-taking mission and service
Thank you for your feedback,
Mark Estep (SPRC) and Randy Hume (Outreach/Missions)
Please CLICK HERE to take our short, 4-question survey by Saturday, April 4.

DUMC New to the Faith Class
Sundays, May 18 - June 15, 10:00 am
*We may cancel the May 25 class and conclude on June 22
Room 22 - Donuts and coffee provided!
If you are new to the faith or if you have been a follower of Jesus for quite some time but feel the need to go back to the basics for a refresher course, this class is for you!
Join us for a five-week journey exploring the foundational truths of Christianity in a welcoming and conversational setting. We’ll talk about who Jesus is, what it means to follow him, how to grow in your faith, and other key aspects of following Jesus. Whether you have questions, doubts, or just want to strengthen your understanding, this is a great place to start.
Because worship is such an important part of following Jesus, we encourage everyone attending the class to also attend either the 9:00 am Uplifting Worship Service or the 11:11 Word & Worship Service. Experiencing worship together helps us grow in faith and connect with God in a meaningful way.
We’ll need at least five people signed up in order to hold the class, so if you’re interested, be sure to let us know.
Come as you are, bring your questions, and let’s grow together!
If you are interested in being a part of the class or if you have any other questions, please email Pastor Paul.

Lay Leader Insights:
QUESTIONS TO PONDER DURING LENT
Lent is often described as a time of introspection. Some Christians give up something they love out of devotion to Christ, while others adopt a new practice to bring them closer to Christ.
Here are some questions to ask yourself during these 40 days:
What am I holding onto that I might need to release? These could be old habits that no longer serve your purpose, grudges that are depleting your energy, or even a relationship that is not healthy. Releasing them gives you a new focus for your journey forward.
