Taco Tuesday - Thank You!
Thank you to DUMC for hosting Taco Tuesday for Discovery Service Projects (DSP). A festive time was had by all! $1,050 was raised for DSP's domestic work trip to Charlestown, West Virginia in April.

2024 Lenten Soup Suppers
Back by popular demand! Dig out those recipes and get ready to simmer. We are asking for donations of bread, cornbread, fresh cut fruit, or canned fruit, in addition to soups (no sweets/desserts out of respect for Christ's sacrifice). The first supper will be on Ash Wednesday, February 14, 2024 from 6:00 - 7:00 pm. SIGN-UP online or in the lobby. All proceeds will go to supporting our Vacation Bible School.

Kids' Club!
Beginning Wednesday, February 14 (Ash Wednesday), Kids' Club will be meeting weekly during the Lenten Services (7:00 - 7:45 pm). Families can start the evening enjoying the Soup Supper together. Afterwards, parents can attend the service, while Kids' Club meets in Overholt Hall. More information to come!

February Mission of the Month:
MISSIONARIES

|
Our mission for the month of February is supporting our three missionary teams working around the world to be God’s hands and feet. Our missionary teams include:
· Emma and Arasu Rajaratnam working through Logos Vision in India

· Steve and Debbie Buckner working with the Lamb Institute in Honduras
· Doug and Shelly Fears working in the US and training the next generation
Each family acts as a team in spreading the Word of God. They travel to countries where Christianity is the minority, is prohibited, or is discouraged by the government. In a Christian country like Honduras, teams offer support where the poor often have no hope or future.
Each of these selfless families helps to bring people to Christ through the lives they live, the service they provide, and active mentorship of those who seek Christ as their Lord and Savior. Please join us in supporting our missionary teams with your donations and prayers during the month of February.

Adult Volunteers Needed for Youth
We have a lot of opportunities for adults to get involved in the youth ministry. Read on if you're interested or know someone else who might be.
Fusion: Do you like teaching in a discussion-based learning environment? Join the Fusion team! The hope is for each team to teach a month at a time. We would like to have enough teams so each team would only teach 3 months a year (3 teaching weeks per month on average). The curriculum is provided and sent to you in advance.
Elevation: Come hang out with us on Sunday nights! Elevation is a high energy evening of games, hangout time, teaching, and small groups. We are looking to have more small group leaders involved, but it's not a requirement.
Fundraising team: Do you like brainstorming and implementing fundraisers? Come join our fundraiser committee. Every year, we need loads of help with fundraisers for our summer mission trip.
Planning team: We could really benefit from more help to plan the youth ministry quarterly calendar. We're always looking for fresh ideas on events and general planning, especially as spring approaches and we begin thinking about the summer schedule.
