Summer Family Worship "Room to Move"
During the summer, we encourage families to worship together at each of our services. Our Sunday School volunteers and Nursery workers are taking a well-deserved break. In both the Sanctuary and Worship Center, we provide crayons, coloring books, and activity bags for children. There are also quiet worship spaces in both the back of the Sanctuary and the Upper Room (room in back of balcony in the Worship Center) where families can sit while children play.
Everyone is welcome at DUMC — especially during the summer!

PEACH FESTIVAL 2025
Saturday, August 23, 8:00 am - 2:00 pm
Save the Date – Save Your Stuff!
The Peach Festival is coming on Saturday, August 23. There will be a pancake breakfast on Sunday, July 27 (this is a great time to bring your used books and flea market items). Please start gathering up your donations now so you can drop them off at the church on Monday, July 28 or sometime during the following week (summer hours are 9:00 am - 1:00 pm, please call to confirm if you need to drop outside of these hours). Flea market and book sales will begin on Wednesday, July 30.
In addition to books and flea market items, please consider plants and silent auction items. Please start saving cuttings and bulbs to be dropped off on Friday, August 22. Ideas for the silent auction are: your excess frequent flyer miles, a weekend at your vacation home, or nice photos & art items. If you have something you think is too nice for the flea market, consider donating it to the silent auction.

The DSP Domestic Project team is thankful for the many financial donations from our supporters, along with the good wishes and prayers we received that allowed us to be a part of this recovery team. Lay Leader Insights:
INSUFFICIENT FUNDS
Two small words that strike fear in every heart: insufficient funds. These words let us know there isn’t enough money in our bank account to complete a transaction. We have spent more than we have. Not only that, but now there is an overdraft fee, pushing our account into the negative. A teen I know once bought a McDonald's cheeseburger with a debit card—and it ended up costing $35.99!

July Mission of the Month:
THE SYNERGY PROJECT
| | | |
July’s mission is The Synergy Project. Synergy is a street outreach program of Valley Youth House. They work with youth ages 24 and below. Synergy works directly on the street with homeless youth living in cars, on the street, couch surfing, or nomadically traveling the country via freight train. Some are runaways, while others may have been or still are trafficked.

Feed My Sheep Opportunites
Do you have an hour or two to help? ---
We have been “Feeding the Sheep” even more than we ever were before.
A few opportunities have come directly to us, and we have been using these donations to feed our local community. Let me illustrate them, and perhaps you can find an hour or two to get involved. Click here to read more....

Volunteer Opportunity - Family Friendly
Homers for Hope is an organization that holds baseball & softball events as fundraisers for individual families with big needs, such as the loss of a young parent or huge medical bills. They are holding a big event on Saturday, July 26, at the Trenton Thunder Ballpark. They need volunteers to sell food and merchandise, take pictures, Facebook livestream, and other tasks. If you are interested, contact Randy Hume at (267) 614-5940, and we can set up car pools. I think it would be fun to have a DUMC group there to support this event.
You can also volunteer to participate. You get to swing big in a minor league park to show your skills. Raise money to support needy families, and come out to “hit for the fences”.
For more information, go to HomersForHope.org
Best Regards,
Randy Hume
