2023 Harvest Home Sunday
You are a blessing! Members of Doylestown United Methodist Church opened their hearts, donating 300 food items during Harvest Home Sunday. Food was sorted and boxed, led by members of Lenae Baldwin’s Youth Group (Lucas Sunderland, Logan Sunderland, Joe Giernacky, Annabelle Giernacky, and Julie Quick), and members from the Outreach Committee. Deliveries of Thanksgiving staples and grocery gift cards were made to food pantries in Doylestown, New Britain, and Southampton.
Whoever has a bountiful eye will be blessed, for he shares his bread with the poor. Proverbs 22:9.

Lay Leader Insights:
Comfort My People
The word "comfort" is found 106 times in the Bible. God comforts His people in all sorts of ways, by giving us His words in the Bible, through His many promises, and by sending others to comfort us.
God knew there would be times of trouble. Occasions when we would doubt. Days when it seemed like the world was going crazy. We are in one of those times now. Violence in so many countries. Wars breaking out and innocent people being killed. We can feel powerless to change this tide.
This world is not perfect. Since sin entered this world in the Garden of Eden, we live in a place where evil has a voice. Governments seek power through any means necessary. Pride and ego can take center stage.
