Directors Roundtable
BECC kicks off the new school year on Thursday, September 5th from 4-6pm at 6 Garden Center. A celebration to get all center Directors on the right foot this school year. We will be reviewing the new format of the DRT, learn about parenting supports available to you, and network to find out how everyone else is doing this year!

Confident Parenting
Fall series on confident parenting is beginning   September 12th . This six week series focuses on social/emotional development and how parents can work together to improve the relationship they have with their child during the preschool years. Connect with other parents! Dinner and child care included. $40 donation entire series. Click here to see more information on our website.

Broomfield Days 
The Garden Center building is home to Invent HQ, History Collections, FISH, and BECC. All agencies will be hosting an open house at our building during Broomfield Days! We will have games, resources, and fun! Come just a bit north of Midway Park and have some more fun! Saturday, September 21st.  Click here for more information!

EQIT Fall session is now open!
EQIT  is such an important foundation for all teachers. This  course can help you  become lead teacher qualified and increase your credentials! The fall session is currently available for registration . Please click here to download the application. Please see our website for more information.

Article - Congratulations to our local preschool Bal Swan Children's Center on a grant to create a new gym!
A new gym at Bal Swan Children's Center preschool in Broomfield will feature lateral climbing walls, colorful tunnels, and interactive LED lighting features, with the goal of making physical activity accessible to both neurotypical children and children with special needs. 

"It's just overwhelmingly significant, how anyone can walk in and feel included," said Debbie Kunz, director of the preschool, where one third of the children have special needs and all classes are integrated. 



BECC & FISH are Dancing With The Broomfield Stars!

Broomfield Community Foundation is hosting their annual community f undraiser, Dancing with the Broomfield Stars! This is a fantastic, fun and communi ty based event that supports grants for local nonprofits! 

This year,  BECC will have a representative DANCING in the show along with our close partners at the Family Resource Center, FISH! We have been working on it for the last few weeks with support of our amazing dance instruct or at Denver Dance Authority!

You can support us at the event in two ways:

Summit 2019 Registration is OPEN!

I'm a Teacher! What's your Super Power?

The annual early childhood education conference will be held on October 19th, 8am to 1pm

Change of venue! We are partnering with our friends at Front Range Community College and will use their site for the event. 

There will be five training hours available and a fantastic keynote speaker on:

Bodies, Brains and Behaviors
Understanding how children perceive the world and what influences their behavior can be your super power. How young children learn, what gets in the way of their learning, commonly misunderstood characteristics of child development, and strategies for success.

Early bird registration is $35 and registration is open!

Committee Work highlighted

BECC continues to engage with our community through work and action items in health, family support, and early childhood professional development. Please see our ongoing meetings put them on your calendar to attend!

Health and Wellness: Network, support, learn about health and wellness of early childhood in Broomfield. Every first Tuesday of the month at 8:05am, 100 Spader Way. Next meeting:   September 10 is next meeting!

Family Engagement and Support: Group to promote the 5 Protective Factors, parenting supports, and networking. 3 Community Park Drive. Next meeting: T uesday, September 17 10am, please email info@broomfieldecc.org  for information.
