Coping with COVID without Substances
We all need a little help these days, a way to release the stress, a way to handle the loneliness and stay positive for those we love and care for in our home. Some resort to using substances to cope, like alcohol. You see the memes and posts depicting heavy use during COVID on social media but how can you tell when you or someone you know suddenly has a real issue?

"For the most part, generally, people don't ask for help. They get asked to ask for help," Rachel Daley, Clinical Director at Alpha Home explains.

In this special segment on KSAT.com, leadership staff of Alpha Home and Rise Recovery talk about how to take care, trends we are seeing specifically with substance use during COVID, and what you can do if you or your loved one needs support. WATCH NOW

You can also watch the full interview of Nigel Williams, Youth Peer Recovery Coach with Rise, as he shares his recovery journey. WATCH NOW
