RISE RECOVERY BY THE NUMBERS
In the past two weeks, we have connected with approximately 500 clients either by phone/text/email and as we reach out we recognize the need for our participants to connect with their recovery support network. Our virtual group meetings, individual sessions and social activities are critical to recovery in these vulnerable times. Our mission is ALWAYS ESSENTIAL and thanks to our leadership and staff and the financial support of our community, we will continue to change lives.
Foundations, corporations and individuals like YOU keep our mission strong enough to sustain anything, even a pandemic. No matter the size, your contribution is gratefully and humbly received! Now more than ever, your financial donation is critical to continue our much needed recovery programs and services serving Bexar County. Recovery is ESSENTIAL ALL THE TIME!

Apparently, our virtual group meetings now accept participants of the feline kind. Roy, I don't think you're getting through to kitty, may we suggest a follow-up session???

Justin Hewett and Edie Garza lead a virtual meeting for Rise Recovery's Young Adult Group with 26 participants attending.
Allen Castro waited in the parking lot of his Alcoholics Anonymous meeting place. That night, no one would be sitting inside to say the Serenity Prayer and talk about recovery.

The coronavirus pandemic has largely put an end, for now, to the in-person meetings that are the lifeblood of 12-Step groups — the way many people with substance abuse issues in Bexar County stay sober.

Like many recovered alcoholics in San Antonio, Castro has found his favorite meeting online via the Zoom app.
