And now the life force in me, as in all beings, cries out to know itself apart from the Mother. My life, the uniqueness of that which I am, calls to me to experience.

For it is only in the full freedom of my own experiencing that I gain the wisdom of my connectedness with all that is. For I am the one and I am also the many.

Saturday Conversations:

The Many Faces of JACO

February 7, 2026, 10:00 am-12:00 pm

First Community, Burkhart Chapel

1320 Cambridge Blvd, Columbus, Ohio 43212

In Person Only

Please join us this upcoming Saturday to explore the many ways in which JACO seeks to support our community. Everyone (members, non-members, clinicians, and newcomers) is invited, and no background in Jungian theory is needed.  Together, we will use Jung’s 4 functions—thinking, feeling, sensing, and intuiting—as a framework for understanding and communicating who we are becoming and the direction in which we are traveling.

We felt this was an important topic so that we could receive feedback from our community. Historically, we have engaged in depth psychology and Jungian theory, supported artistic expression and appreciation, and explored archetypal themes in dreams, film and literature. We have supported the belief that engaging in Jung’s thought helps make sense of an increasingly chaotic world and that engaging with each other facilitates each individual’s path toward meaning and wholeness. We believe that our members have benefitted from these deepened experiences of Self that emerge as part of the individuation process. So, on Saturday, we will explore the questions of where do we find ourselves now and where would we like to find ourselves going forward. We truly hope you will be able to be with us on Saturday and join the exploration.

Saturday Conversations are always free but please register below so we can plan accordingly.

The Archetype of Peace

2026 Bauza Lecture

In Person and By Zoom

Presented by

Michelle Rivera-Clonch PhD

Saturday, March 14, 2026

9:30 am – 12:30 pm EST

The central motif: A human being in despair

A circle: The world

The background: Eternity

That was the meaning of the Nuclear Disarmament (ND) sign created in February 1958. The ND symbol [now universally seen as the Peace Symbol] arose to help bring together and organize disconnected post-nuclear images and visions, as well as to shunt differing intensities of individual and collective affect toward nonviolent direction… To this end, the ND symbol offers a kaleidoscopic-process-of-sorts to honor the array of multivalent relationships available between the symbol and the interpreter in the meaning-making process.
