"They are just wrong," she exclaimed. "How could they do that? They need to be ashamed of themselves." It is amazing how judgmental people become when someone else is caught in some unscrupulous act.
What I've come to realize is that many of my friends and family entangled in similar unscrupulous behavior voice the hardest judgment. I'm not condoning the behavior, but I do espouse compassion. Each of us at some time or another needed compassion because of something we had done.
God has not qualitatively stated that one wrongdoing is greater or lesser than another. It is His responsibility for judgment not ours; yet He provides compassion, love and forgiveness to each of us. As humans we daily fall short of the glory of God. In his omniscience He masterfully provided us with grace and mercy.
Sometimes we can't see ourselves because we are so busy extending our arm out pointing it at others. I'm at fault of this as much as anyone else. Oftentimes we set out to change someone, when we need to take a look at ourselves because the change begins within. God always sends us back to us. When you pray and ask God to change someone, in His infinite wisdom He changes you. He always brings it back to you.
If you've never done anything wrong cast the first stone. Truthfully speaking, we don't really have stones to cast because everyone lives in a glass house. So, when God looks around everyone has retreated.
I remember when one of my sisters got into some legal trouble and my father was so upset and disappointed he was going to turn his back on her. My mother brought it right back to him and said, "If you have never done anything wrong then turn your back on her." It caused him to reevaluate his stance and to stand by her.
Living out the greatest two commandments means we have to be willing to look beyond the fault and see the need. We are to help each other overcome. At some point each of us has and will need compassion. We, like my mother posed the question to my father for self-examination, have to conduct that same examination on ourselves.
Our children need our understanding and not our condemnation. We can condemn them straight into the enemy's camp and lose them. Remember, we've walked their walk and understand the myriad things enticing them from every which a way. In today's world what we confronted pales in comparison. In most instances, it is not to propel them to greatness and for them to fulfill their purpose. More than ever we have youngsters who simply want us to love and understand them.
Love casts off fear; because fear is hate driven and faith is love driven. Love enables each of us to look beyond the exterior and love the person back to a sound mind to make the right decisions.

But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore of sound mind, and be sober unto prayer: above all things being fervent in your love among yourselves; for love covereth a multitude of sins: 1 Peter 4:7-8 (ASV)
There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. We love him, because he first loved us. If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also. 1 John 4:18-21 (KJV)
So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her. And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground. And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst. When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee? She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more. John 8:7-11 (KJV)
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. 2 Tim 1:7 (KJV)
All of us have fallen short of Your glory. Bless me to provide the same grace and mercy You have bestowed on me on others. Rather than pass harsh judgment, bless me to exhibit the same compassion towards them that You have given me. Perfect love conquers all. Bless me daily to exhibit that love to all regardless if I personally know them or not. In doing so, You will be glorified in the earth.
You'll be encouraged, enlightened, enriched, equipped and exalted to become all God envisioned so you can see what God SAW (spiritual, abundance and wholeness).
