Catalina Island Conservancy members can experience the unique bird life within the Island’s wildlands during the Conservancy Member Bird Watch Hike on Saturday, September 28. Led by Conservancy Education Specialist, Hillary Holt, this educational adventure will showcase the Island's endemic and native bird species, with dozens of possible sightings.

The Bird Watch Hike will feature interpretive information and guided nature journaling of sighted bird species and more. A naturalist guide and Conservancy journal will be provided. The three-mile hike will take place at beautiful Middle Ranch Reservoir and Eagles Nest Loop Trail overlooking Ben Weston Canyon.

Participants will meet at the Trailhead visitor center in Avalon. Complimentary lunch will be provided on the 3rd Floor of the Trailhead, provided by Toyon Grill .

 On-Island transportation to and from the start of the hike is included in the $25 member registration fee. Non-Conservancy members can join the hike for the guest rate of $45.
