The 9th Annual Catalina: The Wild Side Art Show and Sale will take place Sunday, October 20, at Newport Harbor Yacht Club in Newport Beach. Eleven nationally-recognized artists created more than 90 paintings especially for this show. The works of art highlight Catalina Island’s wildlands, Avalon and Two Harbors. The event, which is the Conservancy’s second-largest annual fundraising opportunity, celebrates the longstanding tradition of plein air painting on Catalina Island. Come to the show to build your collection and view these newly-created works, many painted in the plein air style, which involves painting nature while experiencing the outdoors while working with natural light and the elements. Early bird ticket rates are available through September 14! Patron sponsor opportunities are also available; please contact Suzy Gardner via email or call 562.437.8555 x1228.
Donate a vehicle to help the Conservancy continue to protect and conserve Catalina! We are always in need of reliable vehicles that our staff can use due to the naturally rough Island terrain. Right now, our highest priorities are finding a 2015 or newer model 12-foot stake bed 4x4 truck and a 2015 or newer 15-yard, 10-wheel dump truck. Support the Conservancy’s mission while qualifying for a tax write-off! Learn more...

Avalon Grasses Initiative

These four highly invasive grasses are used in landscaping, quickly becoming weeds in yards and spreading into the wildlands of Avalon Canyon and beyond. Learn more…
