Thank You For Your Support in 2021
The Catalina Island Conservancy would like to thank you for your ongoing support throughout the many challenges of the past two years. During this time, we have accelerated our commitment to responsible stewardship of Catalina Island through a balance of integrated conservation, education and recreation initiatives. The need has never been so poignant as we’ve seen visitors emerge from being stuck at home to once again being able to safely experience all of Catalina’s wonder.
To act on this promise, we have developed a three-part Strategic Plan, focusing on our three key areas of Conservation, Education and Recreation, to serve as a roadmap for daily activities that collectively will lead to short-term objectives and long-term desired outcomes. Your help is needed to ensure the Conservancy has adequate resources to advance daily work and achieve desired outcomes. Please donate today as we work together to make this plan a reality.
Members Only! Conservancy Book Club
In 2021, the Members Only! Conservancy Book Club dived in to 10 different books of foundational, popular science literature, with members reading on their own time then coming together for a discussion about how the text relates to Catalina Island. In the coming year, the 12 featured books, including Overstory by Richard Powers and Sapiens by Yuval Harari, will feature themes that link to our popular Last Friday Lecture Series. Sign up for the book club today!
