The Conservation Federation of Missouri is now accepting applications to our premier youth program, the Conservation Leadership Corps.
Since its inception in 2002, the program has helped to grow and develop young conservation leaders. You might have met some of the CLC alumni in the professional world, they work for many of the state and federal conservation agencies, non-profits, public schools, and are conservation-minded members of society. If you know of a young person that will be a junior in high school through junior in college, is conservation-minded, and enjoys the outdoors, please forward them this information. Applications are due by April 30th.
Last year, CLC teamed up with Missouri River Relief, Jefferson City Park and Recreation, and MDC Director Sara Pauley and spent a day on the river, learning river history and conducting a Stream Team clean-up.
"I've been a member of the Conservation Leadership Corps for four years, starting as a junior in high school. This amazing program has opened my eyes to a new side of conservation. It has built my leadership abilities, networking opportunities, and most of all my awareness of how I can impact conservation now and into the future."
