Quotes of the Month

“Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.”- Helen Keller

Our shared conservative values, our belief in the individual is the great hope of our nation.

Rick Perry

Poll Results

Thank you to all who took the poll on meeting locations. The results were evenly split in favor between Bowman Library and Warren County's Fire Station. As much as Al and I love having the meetings at our house, we are fortunate that our group has outgrown our home.

The library is within our budget-$5 per meeting. The Fire House is $150/month. Given that our budget is based on your generous donations, we chose to try to keep the meetings at Bowman Library for now. The dates/times may vary due to the meeting room's availability.

From the Chair

Rhonda Torres, Chair

In just a few short months, Conservatives of Lake Frederick has gone from a concept to a group of 210+ Conservative Republicans that are eager to become actively engaged, show up, and speak up. We are becoming a “family” with common values and beliefs. I want to thank each and every one of you for joining Conservatives of Lake Frederick and your participation in growing our group and sharing our values.

On September 23rd, a group of 21 members distributed about 800 door hangers with Sample Ballots despite the rainy weather. I want to give a big THANK YOU for your help. I would like to thank Kathy Thomas, COLF Vice-Chair, for leading this project. She did a tremendous amount of work and much planning to coordinate the door hanging activity. It was a great success.

Thank you to all who heeded the Call to Action on September 24th regarding the "8645" sign in the yard of 105 Towhee Drive. The HOA did require them remove it from their yard that day. However, the residents chose to put the sign in their window. Despite the continued letters to the HOA, it appears they will not insist the sign be removed due to the property owner's first amendment right. This is the same response I received from the Frederick County Sheriff's Office. I fought the HOA, and won, about a month ago for the right to have a sign in my window, so I know that the HOA is not going to back down. That said, we can submit articles to the Winchester Star regarding the inflammatory and inciteful message calling for the "getting rid of" or "killing" of President Trump. It is amazingly hypocritical that the left is calling for the killing of a former President given that they hate violence perpetuated by guns.
