Department Highlight: Vocal Music!

The Elementary Vocal Music Program at VCS is filled with music, movement, and fun as students continue to grow in their musical skills! Our 3rd and 4th graders are hard at work preparing for their Christmas musical on December 15th, learning songs and getting ready to share their talents with family and friends.

Throughout the elementary grades, students are also exploring beats, rhythm, and timing through engaging activities using colorful scarves, egg shakers, and other fun musical tools. One of our favorite activities right now is singing our “Spooky Pumpkin Song” while playing a game similar to hot potato!

These activities help students develop their musical abilities while building confidence, coordination, and a love for singing. We are having a wonderful time making music together and look forward to sharing our progress throughout the school year!
