GA SATELLTE SITE SPOTLIGHT

An Invitation from UU Westport, CT

UU Westport is happy to welcome General Assembly participants who are looking to experience GA in shared space and shared presence. There is something grounding about being in the same room for worship, reflection, and conversation, about pausing together rather than watching alone.

We are a justice-centered congregation, nestled in the woods in a stunning mid-century modern building with peaceful grounds that invite rest between sessions. Inside, our sanctuary is light-filled and comfortable, offering room to settle in, listen deeply, and breathe.

We will offer coffee, tea, and snacks throughout the day, along with time for conversation or quiet reflection. This Satellite Site may be a good fit for those who are drawn to a calmer pace, connection in a smaller community, and space to integrate GA’s offerings with care and intention.

We hope you will join us!

Why Choose a GA Satellite Site?

Satellite Sites offer a way to experience General Assembly in community. They are for people who long to worship, reflect, and learn alongside others, to share meals and conversation, and to be held by a local congregation while participating fully in GA programming. For some, Satellite Sites offer ease of travel or a quieter pace. For others, they offer connection, care, and the joy of being together rather than watching alone.

Meet the 2026 GA Program Development Group

The General Assembly Program Development Group (PDG) helps shape the learning experiences that are part of GA 2026. Guided by the theme Meet the Moment, the PDG reviews GA workshop proposals and help determine which offerings will be included as part of General Assembly.

The PDG looks at proposals through a shared set of criteria, with attention to accessibility, equity, and how well programs support Unitarian Universalists in learning, reflection, and faithful action. Their work helps ensure that GA programming is thoughtful, balanced, and responsive to the realities people are facing in their congregations and communities.

Members of the Program Development Group include:

  • Rev. Summer Albayati, Congregational Life Staff
  • Rev. Kierstin Allen, Meet the Moment Program Manager
  • Lillian Drab-Braddick, Dean, The UU Institute and LeaderLab II; Congregational Life Staff, Southern Region
  • Krystle Gervais, Stewardship and Development Donor Engagement Officer
  • Rev. Tania Y. Márquez, Congregational Life Field Staff
  • Kathy McGowan, Southern Region, Congregational Life
  • Mylo Way, Youth and Emerging Adult Ministry Staff
  • Rev. Jami A. Yandle, Transgender Support Specialist, Office of the Vice President for Programs and Ministries

We are grateful for the time, care, and collaboration this group brings to GA 2026. Their combined experience helps ensure that GA programming reflects the depth, diversity, and shared values of our faith.

What Is the GA EduCenter?

For GA 2026, all recorded programming, scheduled webinars, and self-paced materials live in the GA EduCenter, which is part of the GA app powered by Whova.

Instead of a traditional workshop schedule, the EduCenter brings recorded presentations, interactive live webinars, and learning resources together in one place within the GA app. This allows participants to engage with programming on their own time, rather than needing to attend at a single scheduled moment.

Participants will be able to access GA EduCenter content when the GA app opens on May 29, and continue engaging with sessions and resources for three months after General Assembly concludes.

The EduCenter is built to support flexible participation before, during, and after General Assembly.

Many Ways to Be Together Everywhere at GA 2026

Illustrated map of the United States highlighting the UUA General Assembly, June 14–21, 2026, with the theme “Meet the Moment: Together Everywhere.” Location pins mark the Studio Site at the Galt House Hotel in Louisville, Kentucky, and Satellite Sites at UU Church of Birmingham, Alabama; First Unitarian Church of Rochester, New York; UU Congregation at Montclair, New Jersey; UU Congregation in Westport, Connecticut; and First Church Boston, Massachusetts. Pink star accents appear across the map, and a GA logo with people standing together appears on the left.

General Assembly has always been about coming together, and in 2026 that connection takes more than one form. The question is not where you will be, but how you want to show up.

Some will participate online, creating quiet space to listen, reflect, and engage. Others will connect through Community Gatherings, coming together locally for shared meals, conversation, and worship. Satellite Sites offer a way to be part of a broader circle of Unitarian Universalists, close enough to feel the shared energy without traveling far. And the Studio Site at the Galt House in Louisville is the central site where GA is experienced in person as it unfolds live.

However you choose to participate, GA 2026 is designed to meet you where you are and connect you to something larger. However you take part, you belong.

P.S. Satellite Sites are local gatherings where participants watch and experience GA together in shared space. UU Westport is opening its doors to those who want to experience GA alongside others, with room for reflection and conversation in between.

At the center is a circular GA logo reading “General Assembly • June 14–21, 2026 • Unitarian Universalist Association” with the theme “Meet the Moment: Together Everywhere” and silhouettes of people holding hands. Surrounding the logo are photo panels showing GA moments: speakers at podiums, clergy in worship stoles, a person singing into a microphone, and attendees engaging joyfully in worship and celebration. The background is bright pink, creating an energetic, welcoming feel.
