ELECTION RESULTS- APRIL 4, 2023

Of 6,060 registered voters, only 341 ballots were cast for the Village of Sauk Village residents. In what can be considered a very, very low, voter turn-out (only 5.6%) and only one contested race, the results, are in, though not final until the Cook County Clerk's office conducts its final caucus.

The School Board race was the only one with contestants and the numbers flipped throughout the evening as the outcome depended on the results of one outstanding precinct.

Finally, around 10:00 p.m., with all precincts reporting, the numbers were in favor of current Board President, Tammy Jones, incumbent Board Member, Brandie Jackson-Williams, and newly elected candidate, Jeffrey Burns. Sabrina Fisher sought the 2-year seat and ran unopposed.

Sharon Archie-Davenport and RaDonna Brown were both unsuccessful in their bid for re-election to continue serving CCSD 168.

Newcomers to the Municipal elections are Diane Sapp who will fill the two-year term, Trustee Aretha Burns, who was appointed to the Village Board in December and just won her election last night, and veteran Trustee Debra Williams will serve on the Municipal Board of Corporate Authorities with the two seated Trustees, Rodrick Grant and Arnold Coleman..

At the Library District, where there were no contestants, three Library Trustees, votes were cast for former Municipal Board Trustee, Linda Todd, Merrionna Pierce, and Mary Thomas.

The results noted below are from the Cook County Clerk's page but could likely be subject to change.
