Roundtable - January 12
We're shaking things up a bit this month, and joining our friends in the Baden Powell District for their January Roundtable. This is a great opportunity to meet some new people and share some new ideas (in the New Year, no less; I think I'm in a bit of a verbal rut).
The theme for this month will be Summer Activities for Cubs and Scouts (a great thing to talk about on a cold, January evening), along with news and updates from the Council and District. Come to learn, share, and join in the Fellowship of other Scouters.

Winter Camping: The Klondike January 29
Every year, the Troops of the Constellation District are invited by the Baden Powell District to participate in their Klondike. What is a Klondike? Basically, it is a winter-themed Camporee, consisting of several stations where patrols/units must test their Scoutcraft skills and their leadership abilities, earning points towards a total score. The unit transports their gear on a homemade sled pulled by the Scouts. This event will be held at Camp Delmont and happens rain, shine, or snow; units can join for the day, or camp overnight to make it a full weekend event.
And need a sled? Don't let that stop you; contact John Cluver.

First Aid Meet: March 5
Registration is open for the District's annual First Aid Meet. Patrols representing Troops and Crews throughout the District can challenge the Scout's abilities to perform first aid in simulated real-life situations. The patrols will compete in practical first aid problems, working together to plan and perform hands-on first aid skills.
The event will be on Saturday, March 5 from 8:00 am to 12:00 noon. Although a Covid-safe venue is still being secured, we are determined to have this event and registration is now open, using the Council's new calendar and registration system (you will need to registration if this is your first time using it). Every year we have dozens of Patrols compete to get their name on the prestigious Pennypacker Trophy (our very own version of the Stanley Cup); come join us and continue the tradition!
