Constitution Day
Constitution Day was September 17, but it takes more than a day to learn about the Constitution! With parents so diligently partnering with the children’s school’s teachers or homeschooling, how do we introduce the Constitution to our future citizens?

May I suggest that for now teach the concepts & history and ditch the contemporary politics. Books and online courses at all levels are easily available.

"Whenever there's a crisis look for the helpers." They will be your and your children's mentors. It's inspiring to read about people who do good helping neighbors, rescuing animals, cleaning beaches, spending time with a friend.

It's the crazy season in politics. As voters, we have the right and responsibility to investigate all persons running for public office and and to compare what they say with what they do or have done. In the final days before voting it helps to be intelligently skeptical. Be a voting detective! Make a list of what you value. Then make a choice that most closely aligns with your values.

I hear your moans! SIP has resulted in gaining unwanted pounds! Check out our article on the role of stretching in weight loss.

Be kind to yourselves! We shall weather the challenges, Parmalee

Why Stretching Is (Still) Important
for Weight Loss and Exercise
How to sort through the confusion of whether to stretch or not

by David Prologo

Many athletes stretch before and after exercise, but they may not be gaining benefits from doing so. Photo from ESB Basic / shutterstock.com.
There seems to be a lot of confusion regarding the value – or lack thereof – of muscle stretching to accelerate recovery after exercise. “Stretching clears out your lactic acid,” and other similar claims abound.
