Crews are expected to reconstruct the northbound SR-55 Dyer Road straight on-ramp, which will require an extended closure of the ramp. Additional information will be provided in future communications.

Bridge reconstruction at Dyer Road, Edinger Avenue and the railroad continues to make progress as crews aim to complete another two bridges before the end of this year.

At the Dyer Road bridge, crews are constructing the bridge deck. Next, contractors will work on the bridge overhangs and diaphragms with completion expected by the end of the year.

At the Edinger Avenue bridge, crews are installing temporary bridge supports known as falsework with completion anticipated for late 2025. At the Railroad bridge, contractors are building the bridge footing and columns, with completion expected for early 2026.

OCTA, in cooperation with Caltrans, is improving 4 miles of SR-55 between I-405 and I-5. The project will improve traffic flow and reduce travel time by adding one regular lane and one carpool lane in each direction. Also, the project will add merge lanes between several interchanges and stripe carpool lanes for continuous access, augmenting safety on the freeway by making merging easier. These enhancements are expected to create a better, smoother driving experience for motorists.
