WHAT:

Crews are expected to shift westbound traffic toward the center median and place concrete barriers along the outside shoulder on Dyer Road underneath the freeway, which will require closing westbound Dyer. Eastbound Dyer will remain open while this work is completed.

WHEN:

From 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly, Monday, March 9 and Tuesday, March 10.

WHAT:

Crews are expected to perform drainage activities, which will require nighttime closures of the northbound SR-55 McFadden Avenue off-ramp, Edinger Avenue on-ramp, and two outside lanes on northbound SR-55.

WHEN:

Ongoing through mid-March.

Note: Nighttime closures are expected to occur every Thursday and Friday from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. for approximately three weeks. Work and associated closures may also occur on Saturday nights and Tuesday nights.

OCTA, in cooperation with Caltrans, is improving 4 miles of SR-55 between I-405 and I-5. The project will improve traffic flow and reduce travel time by adding one regular lane and one carpool lane in each direction. Also, the project will add merge lanes between several interchanges and stripe carpool lanes for continuous access, augmenting safety on the freeway by making merging easier. These enhancements are expected to create a better, smoother driving experience for motorists.
