Dyer Road and Grand Avenue

Left-Turn Lane Closures

To accommodate bridge reconstruction activities, crews have temporarily closed the outside left-turn lane on eastbound Dyer Road and the inside left-turn lane on southbound Grand Avenue. These closures began on Tuesday, June 3 and will continue for approximately two weeks.

Upcoming Street Closures

Dyer Road

To accommodate bridge reconstruction activities, Dyer Road underneath the freeway in each direction is expected to close from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly, Monday, June 9 through Friday, June 13.

Edinger Avenue

Crews are scheduled to perform drilling operations at the Edinger Avenue bridge, which will require a full closure of westbound Edinger underneath the freeway from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., nightly, Monday, June 9 through Friday, June 13. Eastbound Edinger will remain open.

Extended Ramp Closure Coming Soon!

Southbound SR-55 MacArthur Boulevard Straight On-Ramp

In mid-June, crews are expected to reconstruct the southbound SR-55 MacArthur Boulevard straight on-ramp, which will require an extended closure of the ramp. Additional information will be provided in future communications.

About the Project

OCTA, in cooperation with Caltrans, is improving 4 miles of SR-55 between I-405 and I-5. The project will improve traffic flow and reduce travel time by adding one regular lane and one carpool lane in each direction. Also, the project will add merge lanes between several interchanges and stripe carpool lanes for continuous access, augmenting safety on the freeway by making merging easier. These enhancements are expected to create a better, smoother driving experience for motorists.
