Dyer Road Traffic Switch

WHAT:

Crews are expected to shift traffic towards the outside lane to accommodate pile driving activities in the median. This work will require closing Dyer Road underneath the freeway in both directions, as well as the northbound Dyer Road loop on-ramp.

WHEN:

9 p.m. Monday, May 19 to 5 a.m. Tuesday, May 20.

Extended Closures Coming Soon!

Dyer Road

Crews are scheduled to perform a long-term closure of the northbound SR-55 Dyer Road loop on-ramp. This closure will allow crews to reconstruct the ramp as well as construct a retaining wall. Additional information will be provided in future communications.

MacArthur Boulevard

Crews are expected to reconstruct the southbound SR-55 MacArthur Boulevard straight on-ramp, which will require an extended closure of the ramp. Additional information will be provided in future communications.

About the Project

OCTA, in cooperation with Caltrans, is improving 4 miles of SR-55 between I-405 and I-5. The project will improve traffic flow and reduce travel time by adding one regular lane and one carpool lane in each direction. Also, the project will add merge lanes between several interchanges and stripe carpool lanes for continuous access, augmenting safety on the freeway by making merging easier. These enhancements are expected to create a better, smoother driving experience for motorists.
