Northbound Dyer Road Loop On-Ramp

30-Day Closure In Progress

Crews are in the process of reconstructing the northbound SR-55 Dyer Road loop on-ramp, which requires an extended closure of the ramp. The on-ramp is expected to reopen to motorists by 5 a.m., Sunday, Nov. 23.

This work may be loud. The schedule is subject to change due to inclement weather or unforeseen operational issues.

Behind The K-Rail:

Overhead Sign Structure Installation

As part of the freeway improvements, crews are hard at work installing various overhead sign structures throughout the corridor. These structures will be placed along the shoulders of the freeway, as well as in the median.

Several new sign structures have already been installed, and by the end of the project, a total of 38 new sign structures and four bridge mounted sign structures will be installed.

About the Project

OCTA, in cooperation with Caltrans, is improving 4 miles of SR-55 between I-405 and I-5. The project will improve traffic flow and reduce travel time by adding one regular lane and one carpool lane in each direction. Also, the project will add merge lanes between several interchanges and stripe carpool lanes for continuous access, augmenting safety on the freeway by making merging easier. These enhancements are expected to create a better, smoother driving experience for motorists.
