Memorial Day Holiday

In observance of Memorial Day, no closures are scheduled from Friday, May 23 to Monday, May 26. Construction activities will resume on Tuesday, May 27.

Update: Dyer Road Bridge - Pile Driving Closures

To accommodate upcoming pile driving operations in the median, crews are expected to temporarily close the outside left-turn lane on eastbound Dyer Road and the inside

left-turn lane on southbound Grand Avenue. These closures will begin as soon as Tuesday, May 27 and continue for approximately two weeks.

Northbound Dyer Road Straight On-Ramp

Extended Closure Begins June 3

WHAT: 

Crews will be pouring concrete to reconstruct the northbound SR-55 Dyer Road straight on-ramp, which will require an extended closure of the ramp.

 

WHEN: 

The on-ramp is expected to close as early as 9 p.m., Tuesday, June 3 and reopen to motorists by 5 a.m., Friday, June 13.  


This work may be loud. The schedule is subject to change due to inclement weather or unforeseen operational issues.

Upcoming Extended Closures

MacArthur Boulevard

In mid-June, crews are expected to reconstruct the southbound SR-55 MacArthur Boulevard straight on-ramp, which will require an extended closure of the ramp. Additional information will be provided in future communications.

Dyer Road

Crews are scheduled to perform a long-term closure of the northbound SR-55 Dyer Road loop on-ramp. This closure will allow crews to reconstruct the ramp as well as construct a retaining wall. Additional information will be provided in future communications.

About the Project

OCTA, in cooperation with Caltrans, is improving 4 miles of SR-55 between I-405 and I-5. The project will improve traffic flow and reduce travel time by adding one regular lane and one carpool lane in each direction. Also, the project will add merge lanes between several interchanges and stripe carpool lanes for continuous access, augmenting safety on the freeway by making merging easier. These enhancements are expected to create a better, smoother driving experience for motorists.
