To accommodate upcoming pile driving operations in the median, crews are expected to temporarily close the outside left-turn lane on eastbound Dyer Road and both left-turn lanes on southbound Grand Avenue. These closures will begin as soon as midnight, Tuesday, June 3 and reopen to motorists by 5 a.m. on Thursday, June 5.

The inside left-turn lane on eastbound Dyer Road will remain open, and motorists traveling on westbound Dyer Road will not be impacted. Motorists on southbound Grand Avenue will be directed to use Hotel Terrace to continue onto eastbound Dyer Road.

WHAT: 

Crews will be pouring concrete to reconstruct the northbound SR-55 Dyer Road straight on-ramp, which will require an extended closure of the ramp.

WHEN: 

The on-ramp is expected to close as early as 9 p.m., Tuesday, June 3 and reopen to motorists by 5 a.m., Friday, June 13.

OCTA, in cooperation with Caltrans, is improving 4 miles of SR-55 between I-405 and I-5. The project will improve traffic flow and reduce travel time by adding one regular lane and one carpool lane in each direction. Also, the project will add merge lanes between several interchanges and stripe carpool lanes for continuous access, augmenting safety on the freeway by making merging easier. These enhancements are expected to create a better, smoother driving experience for motorists.
