WHAT:

Bridge construction activities at the Edinger Avenue bridge are ongoing, which will require closing eastbound and westbound Edinger underneath the freeway.

WHEN:

From 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly, Monday, Jan. 19 through Friday, Jan. 23.

This work may be loud. The schedule is subject to change due to inclement weather or unforeseen operational issues.

WHAT:

Crews are expected to perform drainage work at the southbound SR-55 Dyer Road straight off-ramp, which will require an extended closure of the ramp. The southbound SR-55 Dyer Road loop off-ramp will remain open.

WHEN:

The off-ramp is expected to close as soon as 9 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 27 and reopen to motorists by 5 a.m., Friday, Feb. 6.

Crews are currently performing drainage work at the southbound SR-55 McFadden Avenue off-ramp, which requires an extended closure of the ramp and the auxiliary lane.

9 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 13 through 5 a.m., Friday, Jan. 23.

In February, crews are expected to perform nighttime backfilling activities at the retaining wall adjacent to the northbound SR-55 McFadden Avenue off-ramp. More information will be provided in future communications.

OCTA, in cooperation with Caltrans, is improving 4 miles of SR-55 between I-405 and I-5. The project will improve traffic flow and reduce travel time by adding one regular lane and one carpool lane in each direction. Also, the project will add merge lanes between several interchanges and stripe carpool lanes for continuous access, augmenting safety on the freeway by making merging easier. These enhancements are expected to create a better, smoother driving experience for motorists.
