Southbound MacArthur Boulevard Loop

On-Ramp Extended Closure Begins Tonight

WHAT:

Crews are expected to perform paving activities along the southbound MacArthur Boulevard loop on-ramp, which will require an extended closure of the ramp.

WHEN:

The loop on-ramp is expected to close as soon as 9 p.m., Friday, May 9 and reopen to motorists by 5 a.m., Monday, May 12.

Cowan Reconstruction

Crews are expected to resurface a portion of Cowan as part of the freeway improvements. This work will require a full overnight closure of the street, scheduled from 9 p.m., Friday, May 9 to

6 a.m., Saturday, May 10.

Coming Soon! Northbound Dyer Road Loop

On-Ramp Extended Closure

In the coming weeks, crews are scheduled to perform a

long-term closure of the northbound SR-55 Dyer Road loop on-ramp.

About the Project

OCTA, in cooperation with Caltrans, is improving 4 miles of SR-55 between I-405 and I-5. The project will improve traffic flow and reduce travel time by adding one regular lane and one carpool lane in each direction. Also, the project will add merge lanes between several interchanges and stripe carpool lanes for continuous access, augmenting safety on the freeway by making merging easier. These enhancements are expected to create a better, smoother driving experience for motorists.
