In observance of the Fourth of July holiday, there will be no closures scheduled Friday, June 30 to Tuesday, July 4.

MacArthur Boulevard Bridge

Crews are expected to perform concrete pours and work on the overhangs at the bridge columns through mid July.

Lane Channel

Continuing through late July, contractors are backfilling excavated areas to provide stability to the structure, as well as forming and pouring the walls of the Lane Channel.

Retaining Wall Along Cowan

Crews are making progress constructing the retaining wall along northbound SR-55 near Cowan between Fitch and MacArthur Boulevard. Contractors are expected to continue pouring the footing and installing rebar for reinforcement.

OCTA, in cooperation with Caltrans, is improving 4 miles of SR-55 between I-405 and I-5. The project will improve traffic flow and reduce travel time by adding one regular lane and one carpool lane in each direction. Also, the project will add merge lanes between several interchanges and stripe carpool lanes for continuous access, augmenting safety on the freeway by making merging easier. These enhancements are expected to create a better, smoother driving experience for motorists.
