WHAT:

Crews are expected to perform paving work along the northbound SR-55 Edinger Avenue on-ramp, which will require an extended closure of the ramp and the outside lane on northbound SR-55.

WHEN:

The on-ramp and outside lane are expected to close as soon as 9 p.m., Friday, Feb. 6 and reopen to motorists by 5 a.m., Monday, Feb. 9.

This work may be loud. The schedule is subject to change due to inclement weather or unforeseen operational issues.

Crews are currently performing drainage work at the southbound SR-55 Dyer Road straight off-ramp, which requires an extended closure of the ramp.

WHEN:

9 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 27 through 5 a.m., Friday, Feb. 6.

To accommodate retaining wall construction in the area, crews have temporarily restriped the northbound SR-55 McFadden Avenue on-ramp to one lane. This configuration will remain in place through early summer.

OCTA, in cooperation with Caltrans, is improving 4 miles of SR-55 between I-405 and I-5. The project will improve traffic flow and reduce travel time by adding one regular lane and one carpool lane in each direction. Also, the project will add merge lanes between several interchanges and stripe carpool lanes for continuous access, augmenting safety on the freeway by making merging easier. These enhancements are expected to create a better, smoother driving experience for motorists.
