Progress at the Lakeview Avenue Bridge
Crews are continuing to pour concrete and backfill columns and form retaining walls and abutments to support the new Lakeview Avenue bridge. In the coming months, the next phase of construction will begin where crews will set up falsework, temporary support structures.

Crews are expected to continue daily work on the sound wall starting as early as 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. The new sound wall along the WB SR-91 on-ramp is anticipated to be complete by mid-2026. Intermittent night work is scheduled to occur during the week of Jan. 26.

Along Eastbound (EB) 91 On-Ramp at Lakeview
Crews have been forming and pouring the retaining wall along the EB SR-91 on-ramp. Crews are also making progress preparing the area for the foundation of the new bridge.

Segment 2: SR-55 to SR-57
Construction on Segment 2 of the SR-91 Improvement Project is expected to begin in mid-2026.
Segment 3: SR-57 Interchange
Construction on Segment 3 of the SR-91 Improvement Project is expected to begin in February 2026, bringing major upgrades to the SR-91/SR-57 interchange and surrounding areas to improve traffic flow, enhance safety, and support long-term mobility.
During the first week of February, crews are scheduled to begin putting up construction signs within the corridor. K-rail placement and clearing and grubbing activities will follow. Additional schedule updates will be shared in upcoming alerts.

Overview
The SR-91 (SR-57 to SR-55) Improvement Project will improve 6.6 miles of State Route 91 (SR-91) through Anaheim, Fullerton, Orange, Placentia and Yorba Linda. The project will improve mobility throughout the corridor, reduce weaving and merging between ramps, and improve on- and off-ramps. The project will reconstruct the La Palma Avenue, Kraemer Boulevard/Glassell Street, Tustin Avenue and Lakeview Avenue bridges and interchanges with standard lanes, shoulders and sidewalks in each direction.
