Continued Nightly Lakeview Avenue Closures
Crews are anticipated to continue construction activities that will require a full Lakeview Avenue street closure between Santa Ana Canyon Road and the westbound (WB) SR-91 off-ramp at Lakeview nightly, as early as Friday, May 15 and Monday, May 18 through Thursday, May 21 (into Friday morning).
A concrete pour to form the deck of the new Lakeview Avenue bridge is expected to begin at 10 p.m. on Tuesday, May 19 and activities are expected to continue through noon on Wednesday, May 20.
Intermittent nightly closures on Lakeview Avenue are expected to continue through mid-June.

Segment 1: Lakeview to SR-55
Temporary Lakeview Configuration
Motorists traveling both northbound (NB) and southbound (SB) on Lakeview Avenue will now use a new signalized intersection to access the newly realigned WB SR-91 straight on-ramp, and the WB SR-91 loop on-ramp at Lakeview Avenue has been permanently closed.
In this configuration, the eastern side of Lakeview Avenue is fully closed to pedestrians through August 2026. The western side is accessible to pedestrians.
Crews are hard at work. You may notice more traffic than usual. Please allow for extra time or utilize alternative routes.
Lakeview Avenue Bridge Construction
Crews are placing rebar and preparing for the concrete pour to form the deck of the bridge. The deck concrete pour is expected to begin at 10 p.m. on Tuesday, May 19 and activities are expected to continue through noon on Wednesday, May 20. This work may be loud.
Intermittent night work is expected to continue into late May.

Crews continue work on a sound wall along the WB SR-91 on-ramp and a retaining wall along the EB SR-91 on-ramp. Daily construction activities will start as early as 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. The new wall is anticipated to be complete by mid-2026.

Segment 2: SR-55 to SR-57
Construction on Segment 2 of the SR-91 Improvement Project is expected to begin in mid-2026.
Segment 3: SR-57 Interchange
State College Boulevard Construction Activities
Crews will continue striping activities and installation of temporary lighting and traffic control systems in the Segment 3 construction zone. Work will occur during both daytime and nighttime hours, with nighttime operations expected throughout much of the week. State College Boulevard will remain open to traffic; however, overnight lane reductions, ramp closures, and connector closures are required to safely complete this work.

Crews continued overnight work in the Segment 3 construction zone, including traffic control installation and roadway preparation activities.
Nighttime lane closures on EB and WB SR-91 and NB and SB SR-57 are anticipated to occur regularly throughout construction. At least one lane will be open to traffic at all times, unless otherwise specified.

Overview
The SR-91 (SR-57 to SR-55) Improvement Project will improve 6.6 miles of State Route 91 (SR-91) through Anaheim, Fullerton, Orange, Placentia and Yorba Linda. The project will improve mobility throughout the corridor, reduce weaving and merging between ramps, and improve on- and off-ramps. The project will reconstruct the La Palma Avenue, Kraemer Boulevard/Glassell Street, Tustin Avenue and Lakeview Avenue bridges and interchanges with standard lanes, shoulders and sidewalks in each direction.
