Segment 1: Lakeview to SR-55
⚠️ Nighttime Westbound Full Directional Freeway Closure ⚠️
What: Crews are anticipated to close the westbound (WB) SR-91 - including the WB 91 Express Lanes - from Lakeview Avenue to SR-55/Tustin Avenue.
When:
As early as 11 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 8 to 7 a.m., Sunday, Nov. 9.
Why:
The full WB closure is necessary to safely remove an overhead sign that spans the freeway west of Lakeview.

WB SR-91 on-ramps from Lakeview
WB SR-91 connector to southbound (SB) SR-55
WB 91 Express Lanes between Orange County/Riverside County Line and SR-55/Tustin
Detours:
Exit at Lakeview and turn right, turn left onto E. La Palma Avenue. Turn left on Tustin to re-enter WB SR-91
To access SB SR-55, use the detour above, turn right on the eastbound (EB) SR-91 loop on-ramp and continue to the SB SR-55 connector.
Lakeview Avenue Bridge Construction
Progress at the Lakeview Avenue Bridge
Crews have started building columns to support the new Lakeview Avenue bridge. This is exciting progress, as it marks the "above ground" portion of bridge construction after the conclusion of the first phase of pile driving for the foundation. Keep an eye out for even more progress as we continue to construct this major structure!
Crews completed backfilling in the center median and have started forming the columns for concrete pours.
This work may be loud. The schedule is subject to change due to inclement weather or unforeseen operational issues.
Crews are expected to continue daily work on the wall starting as early as 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. The new sound wall along the WB SR-91 on-ramp is anticipated to be complete by mid-2026.

⏰ Daylight Savings Reminder⏰ Daylight Savings Time ends this weekend. Remember to set your clocks back one hour before heading to bed on Saturday night! As the days get shorter, please stay alert on the road, especially through construction zones where crews may still be at work under darker conditions.

Nighttime lane closures on EB and WB SR-91 will occur regularly throughout construction. At least one lane will be open to traffic at all times, unless otherwise specified.

Overview
The SR-91 (SR-57 to SR-55) Improvement Project will improve 6.6 miles of State Route 91 (SR-91) through Anaheim, Fullerton, Orange, Placentia and Yorba Linda. The project will improve mobility throughout the corridor, reduce weaving and merging between ramps, and improve on- and off-ramps. The project will reconstruct the La Palma Avenue, Glassell Street, Tustin Avenue and Lakeview Avenue bridges and interchanges with standard lanes, shoulders and sidewalks in each direction.
