Progress continues at the SR-91/Lakeview Avenue Interchange as crews prepare for construction of the new Lakeview bridge. Later this month, crews will begin pile driving.
This important foundation work is anticipated to begin in late August and continue in phases through early October. Stay tuned for more details regarding schedule, locations and what to expect.
Shore Beam Installation along Northbound Lakeview Avenue
Crews continue to drill holes and install shore beams along northbound (NB) Lakeview. These beams will support the foundation of the bridge.
Nightly, starting as early as 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., Monday, August 11 through Friday, August 15 (into Saturday morning), Lakeview will be closed for shore beam installation.
Crews installing the first shore beam that will provide stabilization for the new Lakeview Avenue bridge.
Pedestrian access on the eastern side of Lakeview is closed.

Sound Wall Activities
As part of ongoing construction of the new sound wall along westbound (WB) SR-91, crews will begin night work to perform "strip and form" activities which involve placing and removing concrete forms from recently poured sound wall sections and setting up forms for the next pour. Night work is anticipated to begin the week of August 11 and continue as early as 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. on weekdays through the early September.
Crews demolishing the old sound wall to accommodate the new SB SR-55 direct on-ramp that will be built.
Crews pouring concrete to construct the stems, the main structural support, of the new sound wall.
Crews continue drilling 16-inch CIDH concrete piles to form the foundation of the new sound wall.

About the Project
Overview
The SR-91 (SR-57 to SR-55) Improvement Project will improve 6.6 miles of State Route 91 (SR-91) through Anaheim, Fullerton, Orange, Placentia and Yorba Linda. The project will improve mobility throughout the corridor, reduce weaving and merging between ramps, and improve on- and off-ramps. The project will reconstruct the La Palma Avenue, Glassell Street, Tustin Avenue and Lakeview Avenue bridges and interchanges with standard lanes, shoulders and sidewalks in each direction.
