Pile Driving at Lakeview Avenue
Pile driving began on Thursday, Aug. 28 and will continue in phases through early October, on weekdays. Crews may be on the worksite as early as 6 a.m. and are anticipated to perform pile driving activities from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
On select weeknights between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m., crews will be digging out the footing at the new bridge location in preparation for driving piles.
While pile driving is a critical step in the construction process, it may also be noisy and cause some vibration.
This work may be loud. The schedule is subject to change due to inclement weather or unforeseen operational issues.
Sound Wall Activities
As part of ongoing construction of the new sound wall along westbound (WB) SR-91, crews continue to work at night to perform "strip and form" activities which involve placing and removing concrete forms from recently poured sound wall sections and setting up forms for the next pour.
Night work is expected to continue as early as 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. through Friday, Sept. 5 (into Saturday morning). Daytime work will continue on the through October.

About the Project
Overview
The SR-91 (SR-57 to SR-55) Improvement Project will improve 6.6 miles of State Route 91 (SR-91) through Anaheim, Fullerton, Orange, Placentia and Yorba Linda. The project will improve mobility throughout the corridor, reduce weaving and merging between ramps, and improve on- and off-ramps. The project will reconstruct the La Palma Avenue, Glassell Street, Tustin Avenue and Lakeview Avenue bridges and interchanges with standard lanes, shoulders and sidewalks in each direction.
