Canceled: Nighttime Westbound Full Directional Freeway Closure
The westbound (WB) SR-91 full directional freeway closure from Lakeview Avenue to SR-55/Tustin Avenue scheduled to begin on Saturday, Nov. 8 has been canceled. More information will be provided once the closure is rescheduled.
Lakeview Avenue Bridge Construction
Progress at the Lakeview Avenue Bridge
Crews have started building columns and retaining walls to support the new Lakeview Avenue bridge. This is exciting progress, as it marks the "above ground" portion of bridge construction after the conclusion of the first phase of pile driving for the foundation. Keep an eye out for even more progress as we continue to construct this major structure!

Crews are expected to continue daily work on the wall starting as early as 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. The new sound wall along the WB SR-91 on-ramp is anticipated to be complete by mid-2026.

Along EB 91 On-Ramp at Lakeview
Crews have been forming and pouring the footings of the retaining wall along the eastbound (EB) 91 on-ramp. Crews are also making progress preparing the area for the foundation of the new bridge.

Closures and Detours
Street Closures:
Ongoing and intermittently for the following two weeks, one lane of Lakeview Avenue between Santa Ana Canyon and the WB SR-91 off-ramp is anticipated to close on weekdays during daytime hours for electrical work.

Overview
The SR-91 (SR-57 to SR-55) Improvement Project will improve 6.6 miles of State Route 91 (SR-91) through Anaheim, Fullerton, Orange, Placentia and Yorba Linda. The project will improve mobility throughout the corridor, reduce weaving and merging between ramps, and improve on- and off-ramps. The project will reconstruct the La Palma Avenue, Glassell Street, Tustin Avenue and Lakeview Avenue bridges and interchanges with standard lanes, shoulders and sidewalks in each direction.
