Early this week the contractor had planned to make changes to the Traffic Control Plan along the construction path and open Phase 2 to motorists. Due to Tropical Storm Beta, the contractor in coordination with City Staff, have elected to wait until the end of the week to implement this change.
The contractor plans to begin transitioning traffic on Friday, September 25, weather permitting.
Safety is a top priority, so motorists and pedestrians are reminded to be aware of the work zone, follow all traffic control devices, and use alternate routes to avoid delays.
All work is weather permitting.
Current Closures Include:
- Southbound lanes on westside of Everhart are closed from Holly Road to Bonner Drive for construction.
- Northbound and southbound traffic is shifted to the southbound lanes (East side of Everhart), from Holly Road to Bonner Drive. Traffic is reduced to one-lane in each direction.
- Traffic transition from Eastside of Everhart to westside of Everhart occurs between Bonner Drive and Curtis Clark Drive.
- No Left Turn at Holly Road for southbound Everhart Road.
- Left turns from southbound Everhart Road will still be restricted at Holly Road, Bonner Drive and Curtis Clark Drive.
- Left turns from northbound Everhart Road will be restricted at Bonner Drive, Curtis Clark Drive and Corona Drive.
- Phase 2 northbound lanes are closed from Curtis Clark Drive to Corona Drive (eastside of Everhart).
- Sidewalks will continue to be closed along Phase 2 until the completion of the project.
- Sidewalks will be closed along Phase 3 until the completion of the project.
- The westside of the Bonner Drive is closed from Everhart Road.
Closures Beginning 9-25-20:
- Southbound lanes on westside of Everhart are closed from Holly Road to Bonner Drive for construction.
- Northbound and southbound traffic is shifted to the northbound lanes (East side of Everhart), from Holly Road to Bonner Drive. Traffic is reduced to one-lane in each direction.
- Traffic transition from eastside of Everhart to westside of Everhart occurs between Bonner Drive and Curtis Clark Drive.
- The center left turn lane will be closed from Curtis Clark Drive to Corona Drive until both sides of the roadway are completed with concrete pavement.
- Left turns from southbound Everhart Road will still be restricted at Holly Road, Bonner Drive and Curtis Clark Drive.
- Left turns from northbound Everhart Road will be restricted at Bonner Drive and Corona Drive.
- Sidewalks will be closed along Phase 3 on the westside of Everhart from Holly Road to Bonner Drive.
- The westside of the Bonner Drive is closed from Everhart Road.
- The intersections of Cobblestone Lane and Coventry will temporarily close when work is occurring at these intersections.
