Construction Update

Construction Sites at 920 & 932 West Cliff 

• Last week's intense storms caused some damage to the formwork (molds concrete is poured into), but crews are already moving ahead!
• Granite crews completed a concrete pour this week on Tuesday; another is planned for Thursday, 1/4/24. 
• Work will continue as planned but is always dependent on the weather. The project completion timeline is still looking good, with the team expecting to complete these infill walls in mid-February (weather dependent). 

1016 West Cliff

• 1016 West Cliff is the lowest point in this area and was the most impacted during the early January 2023 storms. Once again, this area was impacted last week, and crews have paused construction to investigate any further damage. Construction will resume at 1016 West Cliff upon further assessment. 

Reminder: barricades are there for your safety! Please never move or go past barricades and stay out of the construction zone.

2. City of Santa Cruz Public Opinion Poll with EMC Research: 

The City of Santa Cruz has partnered with EMC Research to conduct a comprehensive public opinion poll on West Cliff. Residents randomly selected to participate will receive a postcard in the mail containing a survey link, allowing you to provide valuable feedback on the future of West Cliff. Your input is instrumental in ensuring that the vision for West Cliff aligns with our community's diverse perspectives and needs. 

This survey is designed to be statistically significant, aiming for a minimum of 350 resident responses. Your participation will contribute to a robust understanding of the community's preferences and priorities.
