Completed in 1971 — the same year Shannon Construction was founded — the US Steel Tower has been a cornerstone of our interior construction work for over 30 years. Over the decades, we’ve delivered projects that enhance the building’s functionality and tenant experience, including:
- Renovating the International Corporate Suite
- Adding a new conference area on the 61st floor
- Designing and installing a custom sliding metal wall inspired by US Steel products, crafted by Ken Schultz
- Re-stacking corporate offices and upgrading spaces like the Learning Center on the 16th floor
Today, our team continues this tradition with current projects such as:
- New spec suites on the 27th and 32nd floors
- A full interior build-out of the 50th floor for Meyer, Unkovic & Scott, with 72 offices and 26 workstations
- Accessibility upgrades to the 51st floor corridor
- Expanding Steelfit to include a state-of-the-art pickleball court — a unique tenant amenity
- Four new projects on the horizon with USS/Nippon
